Unwavering Spirit
Within days of the attack on the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11, 2001, St. Paul’s Chapel became a sanctuary for Ground Zero workers who ate, slept, washed and wept there. Unwavering Spirit: Hope and Healing at Ground Zero was an interactive exhibit at St. Paul’s Chapel, across from the World Trade Center, that honored the relief efforts of its volunteer ministry and its legacy of sacrifice and compassion in the wake of the tragedy. Archigrafika revitalized this popular exhibition by constructing new spaces dedicated to viewing topical videos and linking them to original artifacts and other exhibited material, including a dedicated space to reflect at a famous pew where firefighters, police officers and volunteers slept during their unprecedented relief effort.
